Head of AI Solutions

Role Summary

We’re building a private, high-quality community at scale — and AI is critical to protecting, curating, and growing it.

As Head of AI Solutions, you’ll design and own all AI-driven systems that ensure trust, safety, and quality across 88date: from identity verification to behavior analysis and proactive moderation.

This is a hands-on leadership role with real impact on the core of the product.

What you will do

  • Own the AI vision and roadmap for community quality, trust & safety

  • Build and integrate AI systems for user verification:

    • - selfie & liveness checks
    • - face similarity between profile photos and selfie
    • - detection of fake, screen-based, edited or manipulated images

  • Design preventive behavior analysis:

    • - detect harassment, escort-related content, spam, manipulation
    • - identify abnormal patterns before complaints happen

  • Implement AI moderation for content:

    • - inappropriate images
    • - policy-violating profile updates

  • Work closely with Product, Backend, Mobile and Community teams

  • Decide what should be automated vs human-reviewed

  • Select and integrate third-party models where it makes sense — or build in-house when needed

  • Continuously improve precision, recall, and user experience (no false bans)

What we expect

  • Strong experience in Applied ML / AI systems, ideally in consumer products.

  • Product mindset — you care about outcomes, not models

  • Ability to design systems that scale to tens of thousands of users

  • Comfortable working autonomously and making architectural decisions

  • Experience with Python, ML frameworks, and real production environments

Hands-on background with:

  • computer vision (face recognition, liveness, similarity)

  • NLP / text classification (toxicity, intent detection)

Nice to have

  • Experience in dating, social, marketplace, or trust & safety products

  • Familiarity with fraud detection or behavioral scoring systems

  • Interest in human-in-the-loop moderation systems
